GDC Kishtwar organises national seminar on Gandhi Jayanti

Kishtwar Oct 1: GDC Kishtwar organized one day national seminar to commemorate 152nd Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti under the patronship of Prof Anirudh Sharma, Principal GDC Kishtwar. The theme of the seminar was fundamental rights and fundamental duties. Prof. Sarita Parihar was chief guest for the occasion and Prof. Romana Akhter graced the occasion as guest of honour. Advocate Pavita Kiran Badyal and Prof. Madhu Bala were key speakers for the seminar. Advoate Pavita explained about fundamental rights, its importance and the constitutional guarantees that it provides to the citizens of India . Prof Madhu Bala deliberated on the fundamental duties and reiterated the constitutional obligations of the citizens vis a vis our country. The session was followed by open debate on relevance of various gandhian values in current era in which more than 10 students participated. The first three winners were given momentoes and other student participants were given consolation prizes. The programme was held under the convenorship of Prof. Sonika Sen. Welcome address was given by Prof. Sehrish Gazal while vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Zahoor Ahmed Wani.
