DDC reviews pace of progress on mega projects

RAJOURI, Oct 1: District Administration Rajouri is going to constitute a team of officers to ascertain the quality of completed works under different sectors.
Deputy Commissioner, Rajesh K Shavan decided at a meeting convened today to discuss the issues/bottlenecks hampering pace of the developmental works here in his office chamber.
The meeting was attended by the OC 57 RCC, ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; SE Jal Shakti, JP Singh; ACD, Sushil Khajuria; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; AC Defence, Saleem Quershi; PO ICDS, Kartar Singh; CMO, Dr. Shamim Un Nissa Bhatti; ExEn PWD Rajouri, Maqbool Hussain and ExEn Jal Shakti Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed.
Pertinently, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, during his recent visit to Rajouri made several observations regarding developmental issues/bottlenecks while reviewing the developmental scenario of the district and asked the DC to convene a separate meeting of the officers regarding prioritisation of the works and taking completion dates from the concerned.
During the meeting, the DDC took a detailed stock of the physical and financial progress of all the ongoing works being executed by different executing agencies in the district.
While taking stock of the assessment of the trees and structures coming in the alignment of the NH144-A between Nowshera to Kallar, the meeting was informed that the same has been completed but the cost assessment of the structures is pending with the PWD.
The DDC said that a team consisting of patwari, JE PWD and concerned from GREF shall conduct the assessment by 05 October. Similar directions for the assessment of the structures were given for Kallar to Manjakote stretch.
