GPGCW Gandhi Nagar organises webinar to mark end of Hindi Pakhwara

JAMMU, Oct 1: The Department of Hindi Government PG College for Women Gandhi Nagar today hosted a Seminar to mark the end of Hindi Pakhwara organised under the aegis of Aazadi ka Amrut Mahotsav.
The webinar was presided over by College Principal Dr.Sangita Nagari. In her presidential address Dr.Nagari appreciated the step taken by the Hindi Department and encouraged the talent, creativity of students.
In her welcome address, HOD Hindi Dr Maharaj Krishen Mussa read out a detailed report on the activities conducted during the Pakhwara including poetry, essay, quiz, Doha Gayan pratiyogita were organised in which students of constituent Colleges of Cluster University of Jammu participated.
Dr.Beena Budki ex Principal of wisdom institute Dubai, a well known reputed Hindi writer and social worker was the resource person of the Webinar organized by the Hindi Department. She joined the webinar in virtual mode from Mumbai and laid emphasis on the relevance of Hindi in present time. Speaking on the topic “Sangharash se shikhar tak prernadayak kadiyein” she said “We should not underestimate the power of Hindi language and literature.”
While guiding the students, she advised them to choose the unique path of life other than routine one by adopting a positive approach. Sharing her literary journey Dr.Budki said that what she is writing in the form of short stories, novels is only based on true life events.
Dr.Bindu Chib of GDC Poonch also spoke on this occasion. The vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Poonam. Technical support was provided by Prof. Abhinav Sharma.
Faculty members of the college including Prof Sujata Salathia, convener of Aazad ka Amrut Mahotsav were also present.
