| GDC Bishnah organizes programme on Gandhi Jayanti | | |

JAMMU, Oct 1: Government Degree College (GDC) Bishnah organized a programme ‘Celebrating the Mahatma: Ek Kadam Swatchata Ki Aur’ on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti under the aegis of ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’. The programme started with lightening of the lamp and paying of floral tribute by the principal and the staff.
Dr Anuradha Pandoh, the principal of the college, in her welcome address impressed upon the relevance of Gandhian ideas in present times.
Many other programmes were organized including playing of Ramdhun by group of students, speech by Anmol and Tania of semester V, poem recitation by Sneha, Shivani and Davinder. Afterwards Prof Amit Kumar Sharma and Prof Sunil Kumar deliberated on Gandhian thoughts. The programme was compered by Prof Shivani Raina and vote of thanks was presented by Dr Shallu Rani. |
