COVID-19: J&K reports 124 new cases, one death

SRINAGAR, Oct 2: The Government on Saturday informed that 124 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 32 from Jammu division and 92 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 329687. Also, 01 COVID death has been reported from Jammu Division. Moreover, 168 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 46from Jammu Division and 122 from Kashmir Division. The Bulletin informs that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported today.
On COVID vaccination, the bulletin informs that 1,39,265 doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 117,06,965. It adds that 86.80 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 329687 positive cases, 1294 are Active Positive (293 in Jammu Division and 1001 in Kashmir Division), 323969 have recovered and 4424 have died; 2174 in Jammu division and 2250 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 14955156 test results available, 329687 samples have tested positive and 14625469 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 49,801 COVID tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours.
Till date 3561311 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 7013 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1294 in isolation and 464083 in home surveillance. Besides, 3084497 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases reported today, the Bulletin said that Srinagar reported 52 cases, Baramulla reported 09 cases, Budgam reported 09 cases, Pulwama reported 03cases, Ganderbal reported 06 cases, Kupwara reported 03 cases, Anantnag reported 06 cases, Bandipora reported 04 cases, Kulgam and Shopian reported no fresh case for today.
Similarly, Jammu reported 09 cases, Udhampur reported no case, Rajouri reported 02 cases, Doda reported 10 cases, Kathua reported nocase, Poonch reported 04 cases, Ramban reported 01 case, Reasireported 06 cases while Samba and Kishtwar, reported no fresh cases.
The bulletin further informs the general public that they can contact helpline numbers 0191-2520982/2674444/2674115/2674908/2549676 in Jammu Division and 0194-2440283/2430581/2452052/2457313/2457312 in Kashmir Division for any kind of guidance and assistance.
In case of emergency, people can avail free ambulance services 24x7 by calling toll free number 108 while pregnant women and sick infants can avail free services by dialling toll free number 102, the bulletin reads.
It also informs that the public can reach the national helpline by dialling 1075.
