| Clean India Program : GDC R S Pura organizes online lecture | | | Early Times Report
R S Pura, Oct 16: Government Degree College R S Pura under Clean India Program, an initiative of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav organized an online lecture under the patronage of Principal, Prof. Sunil Uppal and supervision of Prof. Bindu Kumari, NSS Program Officer.
The topic of the lecture was “Plastic Waste Management in Jammu City.”
The resource person for the event was Sanjeev Arora, CEO, Regional and urban development Agency. Arora made the participants aware about importance of attending webinar regarding the plastic waste management model in rural and urban areas of Jammu city that comprises of four components viz, socio-technical model for developing economically sustainable approach in plastic waste recycling management system, installation and institutionalization of Swacchta Kendra and knowledge management to sensitize citizens about plastic waste recycling ecosystem.
Speaking on the event through online platform, Principal of the college highlighted the importance of plastic waste management and urged the participants to actively participate in curbing the plastic menace.
A number of students and faculty members of different colleges also actively participated in the webinar. Prof. Sukhwinder kour delivered a vote of thanks to all the participants for making the webinar such a success. |
