Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 16: Four persons including two valiant soldiers and two non-local poor labourers have attained martyrdom on ‘Bloody Saturday’ as October 16, 2021, will be remembered as a blackday in the history of J&K.
While Pakistan-sponsored terrorists in J&K have intensified attacks on security forces and nationalist people, those at the helm of the affairs appear to be busy targeting nationalist people of the Jammu region.
Unmoved by the recent selective and targeted killing of people in Kashmir Valley, the arrogant Babus, who are here in J&K only to target nationalist people, are busy hatching conspiracies to disempower those who continue to stand with India since 1947 braving all odds.
During the last six months, a group of ‘Babus’ has launched a campaign to demoralize nationalist forces as this group is more concerned about enjoying protocol than fighting with anti-national forces.
To enjoy their luxuries and protocols, these Babus are brazenly keeping the central government in dark. It is all due to these Babus all serious efforts of the Union Government have failed to yield encouraging results.
Meanwhile continuing the selective killings of poor non-locals in Kashmir Valley, terrorists on Saturday killed a street vendor from Bihar and a carpenter from Uttar Pradesh in two different targeted attacks.
A street vendor from Bihar was killed by terrorists near Eidgah in the Safa Kadal area of Srinagar city, while a resident of Uttar Pradesh was shot dead in Pulwama district of south Kashmir.
The deceased street vendor has been identified as Arvind Kumar Sah, a resident of Bihar, who was earning his livelihood by selling Golgappas on the streets of Srinagar city.
The identity of the killed carpenter has been established as Sag

r Ahmad of Uttar Pradesh. Both the incidents took place within just an hour. This is the second killing of street vendors from Bihar in Srinagar city during the last 11 days. On October 5, Varinder Paswan, a native of Bihar, was killed by terrorists in the Hawal area of the city immediately after famous chemist M L Bindroo was killed near his pharmacy.
Official sources told that terrorists fired in the head of the non-local street vendor Arvind Kumar, a resident of Bihar. Kumar was removed to a nearby SMHS hospital where he was declared brought dead on the arrival.
Quoting the medical superintendent of the SMHS hospital, Dr. Kanwaljeet Singh, a local news agency reported that the 40-year-old Arvinder Kumar had a bullet in the head and was brought dead to the hospital.
Terrorists on Saturday shot dead another non-local person in the Pulwama district of south Kashmir.
A police officer terrorists fired upon the non-local Sageer Ahmad from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh near Litter Pulwama, leaving him critically injured.
Carpenter by profession, Sageer was removed to hospital where he succumbed.
Army on Saturday said that a Junior Commissioned Officer and a soldier were killed in an ongoing firefight with militants in Poonch forests. So far, nine soldiers, including two JCO, have been killed in the gunfight which started last Monday.
Sources said that the duo was missing and their bodies were recovered this evening.
“Subedar Ajay Singh and Naik Harendra Singh of Indian Army were killed in action during search operations being conducted by the Indian Army along with Jammu and Kashmir Police in densely forested area of Nar Khas forest in Mendhar, District Poonch(J&K),” defence ministry spokesman based in Jammu, Lieutenant Colonel Devender Anand, said.
