Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 16: Ahead of Union Home Minister, Amit Shah scheduled public rally at Jammu on October 24, opposition parties are keeping a watch on their mass base leaders. There is a fear among some opposition parties are their mass base leaders would be poached by BJP before the visit of Amit Shah.
Sources said that the top brass of both the National Conference and Congress are in touch with their leaders in Jammu to stop them from joining BJP. Before the much-publicized visit of Amit Shah, rumours are rife in the air regarding the joining of some Congress and National Conference leaders in BJP. The buzz over the joining of some Congress leaders in BJP originated recently when Devender Singh Rana and Surjeet Singh Slathia joined the Saffron bridge recently.
According to BJP Amit Shah will address a public rally at Jammu on October 24.
Home Minister is visiting the Union Territory of J&K for the first time after abrogation of articles 370 and 35 -A in 2019 and converting the erstwhile State into two UTs of J&K and Ladakh.
Reports said that the Home Minister during the rally will also be felicitated by West Pak refugees, Valmiki Samaj and Gorkhas who got citizenship rights after 70 years of Independence in J&K.
Besides, the PoJK refugees will also felicitate him.
Recently former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta has revealed that many leaders of other parties will join BJP during Home Minister’s visit.
Meanwhile Gupta on Saturday said that Amit Shah’s visit is likely to enthuse new passion and synergy within BJP cadre to make the party the force to reckon with in the Union Territory.
Kavinder Gupta said that the visit of Home Minister Amit Shah to Jammu on October 24 will redouble the enthusiasm among the party cadre as their leader is coming for the first time after the abrogation of articles 35A and 370. He said that the occasion will give ample space to the party workers to know more about the party ideology and groom themselves to become resolute public representatives in the coming times.
