Poonch admin hosting Himalayan Bike Rally on October 24

POONCH, Oct 16: District administration Poonch is going to organize Himalayan Bike Rally from Shadra Sharif to Peer ki Gali on October 24, 2021 to mark the celebration of Iconic Week Festivals.
In this regard, Additional District Development Commissioner, Abdul Sattar, chaired a meeting to finalize the arrangements for the event.
The 72 KM bike rally would take off from Shadra Sharief and conclude at Peer ki Gali.
The meeting was attended by Chief Executive Officer, Poonch Development Authority, Dr. Mohammad Tanveer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education officer, Executive Engineer Mughal road, Special Officer for Culture Activities Rajouri -Poonch, District Youth Services and Sport Officer, Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Representative of Assistant Director, Tourism, Poonch /Rajouri, Representative of Senior Superintendent of Police, Poonch.
The Chief Executive officer Poonch Development Authority briefed the chair about general arrangements being put in place for the smooth conduct of the bike rally.
It was decided in the meeting that sufficient number of Security personnel (Police/ Army) would be deployed along the route from Dhera Gali to Peer ki Gali, while necessary arrangements at reception and culmination site shall be made by Chief Executive Officer, Poonch Development Authority in coordination with Assistant Director, Tourism.
It was further informed that the road from Dehra Gali to Peer Ki Gali shall be renovated to make it potholes free, while provision of ambulance along with a team of doctors and Para Medical staff with requisite essential medicines will also be kept available.
The concerned officers were asked to make provision of Masks and sanitizers and ensure implementation of COVID Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) at the reception venue.
