| GDC Vijaypur observes World Food Day | | | Early Times Report
Vijaypur, Oct 16: GDC Vijaypur on Saturday launched a massive digital awareness campaign to commemorate the World Food Day.
In the first section of the campaign, students and faculty shared a collection of World Food Day Quotes on their social accounts and also used them as their Whatsapp Status as quotes are the best way to express feelings without letting other people get bored.
In the second section, images on World Food Day, statistical data and figures were shared to play their responsibility to spread awareness about Food Day and to appreciate the farmers who are feeding the world and caring for the Earth.
In the third section, slogans for. Happy World Food Day, 2021 were shared for inspiring, encouraging and motivating other students and their family members to share further thereby setting the ball rolling for it to acquire mega proportions.
The Principal, faculty members and students of GDC Vijaypur also took a pledge to never waste food and contribute to saving food for those who are hungry as small actions can make a big difference.
Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College, appreciated the active and enthusiastic participation of the youth and exhorted that the food that enters the mind must also be watched as closely as the food that enters the body.
“Blessed are those who get to enjoy three meals every day. Let us thank God for blessing us with food as the food we have in our plate is a result of immense amount of hard work that is put at various stages.
So consume it with utmost respect and never waste it,” she said. The whole event was coordinated by Dr. Shittal Sharma, HOD Mathematics, GDC Vijaypur.
