UDHAMPUR, Oct 31: Udhampur police rescued 26 bovine animals and arrested two smugglers.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from PP Tikri laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AQ-3147.
During checking, police team rescued 26 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested two smugglers, who have been identified as Farooq Ahmed, son of Mohammad Nazir R/o Kullian, Miran Sahib and Shahbhaz, son of Mohammad Shafi R/o Belicharana, Jammu.
Cases under relevant sections of law were registered at Rehambal police station and further investigation is on.
