| Civil Defence Jammu organizes awareness programme | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 31: A special awareness programme on the occasion of festival season was held at RCDCC Jammu, which was organized by Civil Defence Jammu under the supervision of DySP Anita Pawar, Dy Controller Civil Defence Jammu. The programme was attended by local people of the surrounding area and some active CD Wardens/Volunteers. The participants were made aware about the knowledge of First Aid, Fire fighting, and other Emergency rescue methods along with demonstration by the Civil Defence Instructors.
Lectures were delivered by the Civil Defence team on the topic of Disaster Management and also follow up the SOPs as well as guidelines issued by the govt of UT J&K regarding COVID-19.
While speaking on the occasion DySP Anita Pawar delivered valuable lecture on the topics of Disaster Management and highlighted the role and importance of Civil Defence organization. She appealed the CD wardens/ Volunteers to remain vigilant during this festival season. She also urged the people to cooperate the CD volunteers in this noble cause.
Chief Warden Paramjeet Kumar also delivered a lecture on the topic how to protect themselves and the civilians during emergency especially during the Diwali festival from fire crackers.
Besides others Sadhna Jamwal (Retd) Project Officer ICDS J&K, Vinod Kumar, Divisional Warden CD Jammu, R Vijay Mangotra Dy Divisional Warden, Jagdish Kumar Dy Divisional Warden, and other Post wardens/Sector wardens and staff of RCDCC Jammu also witnessed the awareness programme. |
