Arnas team emerged winners at martyrs volleyball tournament

Reasi, Nov 27: District Police Reasi organized Police Martyrs Volleyball tournament at Police Station Arnas in the proud memories of brave Martyrs of district Reasi. The tournament was inaugurated by Prithpal Singh SDPO Arnas. Four teams from Arnas and adjoining areas participated in the event.
Players of Panasa, Dansal, Thakrakote and Arnas teams participated in the contest. Matches were held on knock out basis and the final was won by Arnas over Thakrakote. Trophies, certificates were distributed among the participants. Refreshment was also distributed among the players.
Shailender Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi conveyed that there are two main motives behind such tournaments; one is to pay tributes to the bravery of Martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty for the nation and second is to provide platform to the youth of the area to display their unexplored talent.
