Training programme for Investigators on "Safety of Women" concludes

UDHAMPUR, Nov 27: A five-day long training programme for Investigators on "Safety of Women" sponsored by BPR&D New Delhi concluded at SK Police Academy Udhampur.
Mohan Lal, SSP, Dy Director (Indoor) SKPA Udhampur was the chief guest at the valedictory function.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohan Lal, SSP, expressed his gratitude to the BPR&D, New Delhi for providing all necessary assistance for the training programme. He appreciated the efforts of the management team of the Academy in organizing the programme. He said this training programme was aimed to enhance and upgrade the investigating skills of J&K police I.O's in crime against women cases and added that given the magnitude of the problem this training course is of great importance. He hoped that the programme would prove helpful for the officers/IOs in investigating the cases related to safety of women.
The course was designed to have a threadbare study of the various kind of offences committed against women in India, role of police in preventing crime against women and to make aware the participants about the laws relating to safety of women . 19 officers including 10 female officers of J&K police attended the training programme. The eminent speakers from Academia have delivered lectures on different subject during the course. The audience was informed that organizing such courses is the endeavour of DGP J&K and Director SKPA, Udhampur.
The valediction was attended by Tahir Hussain, Asstt Director (Indoor). The course was coordinated by Suraj Singh, Dy SP, Asstt Director (Trg./R&D) and Rakesh Mani, Inspr. (Course Secretary).
