JAMMU, Nov 27: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu celebrated its 9th Foundation day with great zeal and fervor in its Provincial Office here today at Green Belt Park Road Gandhi Nagar. AAP Core Committee members along with senior party leaders including office bearers and several zealots assembled in the party office patronized by Convener, Om Parkash Khajuria as also its Founder & National Council Member Deep Singh, who inaugurated the function by distributing sweets and slicing the cake in presence scores of Party enthusiasts amid jubilant sloganeering.
As per official press note issued here, Convener and also Founder & National Council Member, while addressing the party zealots said that the AAP came into existence on 26th November, 2012. It contested the first general election for Delhi Assembly in 2013 and got 28 seats out of 70 and then got an overwhelming majority in February 2015 by securing 67 seats because of its socialistic policies and showing the development on ground. The present Delhi Assembly comprises of 62 MLAs of AAP due to overwhelming belief and trust of Delhi people in the honesty and sincerity of the Arvind Kejriwal led government.
Congratulating Delhites for their prudent and wise step for bringing AAP government to form their destiny changing opportunity, the AAP speakers enjoined upon the people of J&K to emulate the foot prints of Delhi people to get rid of corruption, communalism, nepotism and discrimination as the people are fed up with the conventional spent forces who have exploited the people for the last 72 years to enhance their political interests. The release further said that all poverty alleviation policies and programmes including welfare initiatives for women shall be enforced & implemented in J&K also if AAP is voted to power.
