JU VC felicitates Priya Tosh Dev

JAMMU, Dec 8: Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu (JU) Prof. Manoj K. Dhar, felicitated Priya Tosh Dev, a student of the Department of English, University of Jammu who attended the recently conducted Study Tour ‘International Tourism Mart -2021’ at Nagaland which was organized by the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the Association of Indian Universities to commemorate the 75 years of progressive India, from November 27-30, 2021.
50 students selected from across the country were given the opportunity to attend the same. Prof. Manoj K. Dhar congratulated the student for this rare opportunity to be a part of this prestigious event and advised him to utilize the experience and exposure gained from this unique event in positive and progressive pursuits. He also complimented the team of the Department of Students Welfare which includes Prof. Prakash C. Antahal (Dean Students Welfare), Prof. Vishav Raksha (Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee), Prof. Sanjana Kaul (Co-Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee), Prof. B.K. Bajaj (Associate Dean, SW), Dr. Garima Gupta and Dr. Pritam Singh (Assistant Deans SW), and members of the Campus Cultural Committee for encouraging the students to participate in such activities. Prof. S.K. Pandita (Director, HRDC) and Dr. Neeraj Sharma (Spl. Secretary to the Vice-Chancellor) were also present during the felicitation ceremony.
This is pertinent to mention here that Priya Tosh Dev was the only participant who represented JKUT at this prestigious event.
A number of intellectual, literary, and cultural activities like panel discussions, quiz contests, heritage-site visits, trekking, cultural-fest, musical evenings, etc. were conducted during the Study Tour which focused on the theme of India 2.0. Other than representatives from different States and UTs of India, dignitaries from Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Mauritius, etc. also attended this mega event.
