Div Com, ADGP attend renaming ceremony, pay tributes to the Martyr

REASI, Dec 8: As a tribute to Martyr of District Reasi Granmorh to Tote Road was today named after Saheed SGCT Kamal Kishore here at a homage paying function.
The move has come in pursuance to the decision of the Jammu and Kashmir Government to name Government Schools, Colleges, Roads etc after the Martyrs, who made supreme sacrifice to protect the Nation.
Besides the Parents of the Martyr, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Dr. Raghav Langer; ADGP Mukesh Singh; Chairman DDC Chairman Reasi Saraf Singh Nag; DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range Suleman Chowdhary, DC Charandeep Singh, SSP, Sarpanches and Panches paid rich tributes to the martyr during the function.
The formal ceremony started with unveiling of Signages followed by floral tribute to the Martyr.
On this occasion, the alumni along with local students presented an emotional tribute to Shaheed SGCT Kamal Kishore. An enthralling theatrical performance on the life of the martyr was presented which filled the air with emotion and feelings of pride.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Raghav Langer reiterated that martyrs are the pride and inspiration for all future generations.
“Martyrs become immortal for their act of sacrifice, valour and service to the motherland. We owe our freedom to the martyrs who ensure that every citizen lives peacefully” he said. The Div Com also expressed his gratitude to the family members of martyr Kamal Kishore for their strength and courage.
Chairman, DDC also narrated his association with martyr Kamal Kishore. “He was a true gentleman who was always ready to die for the dignity and integrity of nation” the Chairman DDC said.
In his address, the ADGP emphasized that the Martyrs live forever and reiterated that the Police department remains in close contact with the families of Martyrs for every type of help.
He also explained that one can be a true citizen only when one has the desire to bear the pain for the welfare of fellow countrymen.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Reasi Charandeep Singh said that it is a wonderful initiative by the Government through which ‘our present and coming generations will learn about the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs and will nurture a feeling of patriotism among the citizens’. He also emphasized on the need to celebrate such events every year in the honour of martyrs so that it always remains etched in generating memory.
Charandeep Singh assured the family of the braveheart about the commitment of District Administration Reasi towards their well being and future endeavors and endowments.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Reasi said that the police department shall always remain indebted to martyr Kamal Kishore and assured all possible support to his family.
