| Crackdown on drug peddlers continues in Chatroo | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Dec 29: Under Operation Sanjeevani, Kishtwar Police continued its war against drugs peddlers to eradicate the menace of drug from the society.
Kishtwar Police succeeded in apprehending one more drug peddler from Chatroo. Police recovered Cannabis (Charas) from his possession.
Police party of PS Chatroo developed a specific information of sale and purchase of drugs in Chatroo area. Acting on this tipoff, a naka was established near TRC Chatroo Kishtwar by Inspector Parvaiz Khanday along with his team under the supervision of DySP DAR Kishtwar Zia-Ul-Haq.
During the checking Naka party arrested one notorious drug peddler. On his personal search cannabis like substance (Charas) weighing about 90 grams recovered from his possession and arrested the accused person on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Mohd Imran S/o Mohd Qasim Gujjar R/o Karna Chatroo Kishtwar. In this regard case FIR No. 77/2021 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at PS Chatroo and Investigation taken up.
