Bhambla loot: Police seize bike used in crime, one apprehended

REASI, Dec 29: Reasi Police has cracked the case of thrashing and loot of tractor driver at Bhambla by brother of Naib Sarpanch and his accomplice.
According to reports, the police have apprehended one of the miscreants within 24 hours and have also launched a manhunt to nab the other miscreant. In the meantime, the police succeeded in seizing a motorcycle no UP14DB 3476 reportedly used by the miscreants while executing their crime.
Pertinently, two bikers intercepted a tractor, when it was on its way to refill the fuel near Bhambla Chowk and started beating the driver and allegedly snatched Rs 5000 from him. The miscreants also took away the sale letter of the vehicle and damaged the tractor before fleeing away from the spot.
The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Gulshan Kumar son of Dev Raj, a resident of Sadeen, Pouni in Reasi. The registration of the bike, which the miscreants used to loot the driver, has been reported as UP 3426.
Immediately on the receipt of information, local police reached the spot and spoke to eye witnesses. On the basis of complaint, situation at crime scene and statement of witnesses, police registered an FIR No 88/2021 under section 323, 341, 506, 427, 382 and 34 against the accused, who have been identified as Abinandhan Prashar, son of Sanjeev Kumar, a resident of Makol, Sudnerbani and Rashpal, son of Nanak Chand, a resident of Barnada, Sunderbani.
Police sources told Early Times that Abhinandan Prashar has been detained by the police, while the vehicle used for the crime has also been seized and investigation is on to determine the owner of the bike.
Talking to Early Times, SHO Pouni, Vijay Kumar Sharma said that crime of any sort shall not be tolerated in this region and anyone, who takes law in hands, will be behind bars.
However, locals of the area appreciated the role of the police in curbing the crime in the region. They also expressed their gratitude towards SSP Reasi and SHO Pouni for their swift action in the matter.
