CB Jammu files chargesheet against Visa Consultant for duping people

JAMMU, Dec 29: Crime Branch (CB) Jammu produced charge-sheet against three accused for their involvement in cheating and duping the complainant and other unemployed youth of their hard earned money on the pretext of sending them abroad viz New Zealand for employment purpose.
The three accused against whom charge sheet was produced included Suresh Kumar, S/o Tulsi Ram, R/o Khara Madana, Tehsil Bari Brahmana District Samba, Ghar Singh, S/o Janak Singh, R/o Sanik Colony, Jammu and Tulsi Ram, S/o Jethu Ram, R/o Khara Madana Tehsil Bari Brahmana District Samba in case FIR No. 22/2017 U/S 420, 120-B RPC P/S Crime Branch Jammu.
A written complaint was jointly lodged by Rajeev Kumaro, S/o Puran Chand, R/o Mukhra Phallian Mandal, Jammu and Vinay Sharma, S/o Girdhari Lal Sharma, R/o 85 Ward No 5 Rajeev Colony Bari Brahmna, Jammu, in the Crime Branch wherein the complainants had alleged that accused Suresh Kumar who is running his office under the name and style Uncle's Visa Consultants at 37/8 Trikuta Nagar, Jammu had cheated and duped them of their hard earned money amounting to lacs of rupees on the pretext of sending them abroad for jobs in New Zealand, but despite taking such a huge amount the accused neither arranged any job for them nor returned the money to them, thus has cheated them etc.
On receipt of the complaint a preliminary verification was conducted in the Crime Branch, Jammu and during the course of enquiry the allegations were prima facie substantiated and the instant case was registered. During the course of investigation, documentary/oral evidence was gathered together with all relevant aspects, statement of the witnesses recorded U/s 161 Cr PC & 164-A CrPC as well as other circumstantial evidence enumerated during the course of investigation the offence U/s 420 & 120 RPC have been fully established against the accused for their involvement in cheating the complainant on the pretext of arranging the work permit aboard. Charge-sheet (Challan) has been produced before this Court for judicial determination against the accused except for co-accused Ghar Singh, who is absconding, thus charge-sheet U/S 512 Cr PC has been produced against him before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jammu for judicial determination.
