Anjuman felicitates Sahitya Akademi Award winners

JAMMU, Jan 2: Anjuman Foarogh-e-Urdu J&K Jammu today in its weekly literary meeting chaired by the President of the Anjuman Fozia Mugal Zia felicitated the writers of Jammu, who have been bestowed with Sahitya Akademi Award for the year 2021 on their publications of literary books. Khalid Hussain, who is a known and famous writer in the sub-continent of Punjabi and Urdu languages, had been awarded on his Punjabi book “Sullan Da Salan”. Khalid till date has penned six books in Punjabi and five in Urdu besides a novel and many literary articles that had been published both in India and Pakistan. Lately his autobiography has been published in Urdu. Originally it was in Punjabi. He had won a number of prizes, awards and praises on his publications.
Aseer Kishtwari, who has retired as Director General Accounts and Treasuries, is the author of more than four dozen books on various subjects. He had penned many a books of historical nature that had been admired in the literary circle. He writes both in Urdu and Kashmiri languages. Sahitya Akademi has awarded him on his book “Twazan” which is of critical nature. Anjuman has congratulated him on his latest book regarding the Urdu writers of Jammu Province which will be a treasure for the scholars working on the subject.
Raj Rahi has won the Akademi award on his Dogri book. He has written a number of books in the language.
Anjuman felicitated the winners with the hope that they would contribute more in the respective literature in future as well.
Anjuman condoled the death of Taraq Raza’s mother who expired a few days back and prayed that her soul may rest in eternal peace and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
