POONCH, Jan 5: District Development Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today listened and resolved scores of public issues in connection with Block Diwas programe which were also held at subdivision Mendhar, Surankote and tehsil headquarter Mandi.
During the day, scores of people braving torrential rains thronged the DC office to get their issues resolved.
The DC gave a patient hearing to the people’s issues and demands and assured that their genuine concerns would be resolved on a priority basis.
Similar block diwas events were also held in sub divisions and tehsil headquarters of the district including Mandi, Mendhar and Surankote where officers of the line departments, PRIs and general public participated.
On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, the Assistant Commissioner Development Rajesh Lakhan chaired a block diwas at Mandi. The locals raised various development related issues pertaining to their area. They demanded adequate supply of water, macadamization and renovation of roads, upgradation of schools, better heath services, uninterrupted power supply during winter season and related issues.
On the occasion, the concerned officers responded to the public issues on the spot.
