Sarpanch accused of taking signs on blank Panchayat meeting register
DC Poonch assures Inquiry

RAJESH TANDON
Early Times Report
POONCH, Jan 5: The residents of Panchayat Dhundak reportedly protested against their sarpanch for allegedly taking signatures on blank panchayat meeting register. They alleged that Sarpanch put up development works later in the register making people fool.
"The decisions which are taken in the meeting related to development are not recorded in the panchayat register but signatures are taken by sarpanch and it has been observed that the project discussed and final in the meeting are not put up in register as Sarpanch takes his own decisions and allot the works to his relatives, friends," the residents alleged.
A video which is in possession of Early Times, clearly shows that residents were refusing to do signatures and they were demanding the decisions on works should be written first and then signatures will be given but the Sarpanch and few officials of departments were convincing people to give their signatures.
They alleged that Sarpanch has made violation under Section-4 under Panchayat Act and the officials of Watershed Dept and Panchayat Secretary are involved in it.
They further accused the sarpanch of siphoning off the money collected by the residents for cutting a road. "The residents had collected money for cutting a road in the panchayat and gave it to the Sarpanch, who later got this work done through 14th FC, MGNREGA and B2V schemes and embezzled the funds collected by the locals," they alleged.
Similarly, he is also involved in PMAY schemes and got payment released twice for the same case. They demanded inquiry into the matter.
Meanwhile DC Poonch, when contacted, said that he would inquire about the matter and after finding appropriate action will be taken
