Early Times Report

JAMMU, Jan 5: Apni Party President, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari has said that his party stands for freedom of press and lamented that press in Jammu & Kashmir is not allowed to work freely to present the facts in correct manner.
Talking to media persons, Bukhari said that in an ideal democratic country press is allowed to work freely adding that same is not the case in the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir. He said that his party would fight for the rights of the common masses of Jammu & Kashmir and ensure that their interests are safe guarded.
“It is the duty of the Jammu & Kashmir administration to safeguard the interests of the people living in the union territory. There is no harm in investing in the union territory but it has to be ensured that domiciles of this place are not evicted from their own place. The Apni Party stands for protecting the interests of Jammu & Kashmir residents,” said Bukhari.
Bukhari said that if need arises the party would come out on the roads and lodge protest in support of the demands of the people of Jammu & Kashmir. He said that the party would always fight for the rights of people of Jammu & Kashmir adding that same has already been conveyed to Delimitation Commission.
