EJAC delegation calls on Commissioner Secretary School Education

JAMMU, Jan 5: A high level delegation of JK Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) headed by President EJAC and Chairman JK Teachers Forum called on Commissioner Secretary School Education and apprised him of various issues of all cadres of employees of the department pending for long and sought his personal intervention for speedy redressal in the interest of the department. A detailed memorandum of demands containing issues of all cadres of employees of education department was submitted to Commissioner Secretary and a detailed discussion was held on each one of them.
The demands put forth by the delegation included filling up of all vacancies of officers in the department, transfer policy in favour of RRets, promotion of teachers and masters, confirmation of 2014 batch left out masters, leave encashment in favour of vacational staff of the department, ACP in favour of lecturers, confirmation of left out Incharge lecturers, transfer of all cadres with three years stay, regularization of CPWs and charge allowance in favour of promoted officials.
President EJAC gave a detailed description of all the pending issues and suggested measures to remove impediments in the process of disposal of all such issues.
The main focus of the meeting was recent circular issued by the government with regard to removal of Deadwood under Article 226(2). Delegation expressed serious concern about the way circular is being misused to defame, demoralize and demean teaching community.
President EJAC Mohd Rafique Rather put forth the concerns and apprehension of the community in detail and said that whole community feels intimidated and humiliated as well. Commissioner Secretary listened to all the issues raised by the delegation and said that all issues are being pursued. He assured redressal of all issues in near future.
The leaders of JK EJAC who were the part of delegation include Mohammad Afzal Bhat President JKTF, Saleem Sagar Vice President JK EJAC/ Chairman JKTJAC, Vinod Sharma President JKTJAC, Sukhdev Singh Sumbarya UT Secretary JKTJAC and others.
