GDC Vijaypur organizes quiz competition on Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti

VIJAYPUR, Jan 5: Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti was celebrated across India with great zeal, fervor and enthusiasm as it holds special significance
for the Sikhs and is considered one of their most auspicious festivals. To commemorate
the day, NSS unit (KHIDMAT)
in collaboration with Deptt
of Punjabi organized an
online National Level Quiz Competition on the topic "Guru Gobind Singh Ji's Life and Teachings", with the aim
to give honour, respect and remember the contributions of the great warrior, poet,
philosopher and spiritual master for humanity. Students from various Institutions across
the nation enthusiastically participated in the quiz competition.
First position was shared by Sachit Karloopia of Dept. of Law, University of Jammu and Manreen Kour of GDC Vijaypur; second position was shared by Aryan Sharma and Parul Sharma of GDC Vijaypur and Mohin Sharma and Aniket Sharma of SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu while the third position was shared by Arti Dogra, Janvi, Prinka Bhagat and Ritik Sharma of SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu and Diksha Kattru of GDC Vijaypur. Consolation prize was shared by Ashish Chauhan of DCRUST University, Delhi NCR and Sanyum Kumar of IITM Haryana.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College. She apprised the students that Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji preached and practiced the ethos of love, oneness of mankind and universal brotherhood throughout his life.
She further exhorted that we all have to follow the noble teachings and rich legacy of the great "Saint Soldier" and on the auspicious day of Gurpurab let us take the oath to follow the steps of our Guru. The event was coordinated by Dr. Kuldeep Singh (HOD Punjabi) and Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch (NSS PO). E-certificates were awarded to all the winners.
