GDC Thannamandi organizes webinar on ''Cyber Crime against Women''

RAJOURI, Jan 5: Government Degree College (GDC) Thannamandi organized a webinar on the topic "Cyber Crime against Women" to celebrate "Cyber Jagrookta Diwas". This programme was organized under the aegis of "Cyber Jagrookta Programme". The chief guest of the event was Prof. (Dr.) Javaid Ahmed Qazi, Principal of the college, whereas the speaker for the event was Dr. Khalid Rayaz, Head, Department of Geography. While speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rayaz threw light on various forms of cyber crimes especially against women. He also enlisted various measures with the help of which women can be protected from cyber crimes. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Javaid Ahmed Qazi appreciated the event Coordinator for organising this programme and encouraged the students for participating in such programmes. He said that cyber awareness is need of the hour. Earlier he welcome address was presented by Prof. Mudasir Majeed, Head, Department of Islamic Studies & Nodal Officer for "Cyber Jagrookta Programme" of the college. Dr. Mohd Ibrahim, Physical Director of the college conducted the proceedings of the event while Prof. Ajaz Nazir, Head, Department of Physics presented formal vote of thanks.
The programme was attended by almost all the faculty members and good number of students. Among the prominent and senior faculty members who attended the programme were Dr. Naim un Nisa, Prof. Raheela Mushtaq, Dr. Shoket Ali, Prof. Mohammad Shoket, Prof. Naveen Sharma, Chief Librarian Waqar Ahmad, Prof. Tahir Nadeem, Prof. Tajinder Singh and Prof. Makhdum Ahmad.
