BJP subtly turning OBC reservation ineffective under delimitation garb: Adv. Suresh Dogra
1/8/2022 10:43:02 PM

early times REport

Jammu, Jan 8: The OBC chief of the Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee,Adv. Suresh Dogra has attacked the BJP Government and has alleged that the BJP Government is trying to make OBC reservation ineffective through various ways.
The present Delimitation proposal Report, he said, is a big example in J&K by ignoring OBCs and also ignoring the long pending demand of OBC's for a cast-based census due to its casteist mentality. In a handout issued here today. Adv. Suresh Dogra said the reservation benefits that OBC peoples are getting in the country today in education and in Government Jobs are only due to the congress party and it is very sad the BJP Govt. after being in power didn't implement the recommendation of Mandal commission report in the J&K despite even after revocation of Article 370 & 35A which was publically announced by the Home Minister of India Sh. Amit Shah in Rajya Sabha on 5 August 2019 that the OBC peoples in Jammu and Kashmir would get more benefit but It was unfortunate and dis-appointment for the OBC peoples of J&K, when they got nothing and also the innocent peoples of weaker section of said class, is also has seen their black fate in the recent proposal of delimitation commission report but the said class was expecting political reservation in the assembly seats like STs and SCs.
Adv. Dogra further added that the marginal community of OBC's brought BJP into power on the false promises of its so-called OBC representative, who is now become Prime Minister of India Sh. Narendra Modi has weakened this community despite giving them power. This Marginal community, which is higher in numbers by not fulfilling their long-pending legal and Constitutional demands in which implementation of Mandal commission report in J&K was foremost, providing column in the census report of 2021 and also by not giving political reservation in the proposed delimitation report in J&K.
