Early Times Report

Baderwah, Jan 8: Residents of Chinta village in Baderwah have been without electricity and water for the past 24-hours.
Residents while talking to a local news channel stated that the snowfall has exposed the tall claims of the Power Department and PHE. “We are without basic amenities. We are facing a shortage of ration. There is scarcity of LPG cylinders. No firewood was provided to us despite our repeated requests. The road connecting Chinta with Baderwah is still closed and we don’t know when will it reopen for traffic.” The Sarpanch of the village said that he is in touch with the concerned authorities. “I am being assured that the administration will reach out to us but till now no one has come here. Chinta area comprises three panchayats and has a population of more than 10,000 souls. All of us have been left to fend on our own,” he added.
