GDC Kathua organizes webinar on nation building

KATHUA, Jan 10: NSS units GDC Kathua organized an online webinar on "Youth's participation in Nation building and Say No to Drugs" todfay as a part of Youth India programme of Swami Vivekanand ji under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav. The Webinar was started with formal welcome note by Senior NSS Prog Officer Prof Manmohan Singh. Jyoti Sharma, Advocate J& K High Court Jammu, and Master Trainer National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi acted as chief resource person. In her lecture, resource person Jyoti Sharma delivered a very valuable lecture on the theme of the webinar. She covered various legal aspects related to drugs abuse and its impact on the young generation and as well as on the society. She also discussed with volunteers the various preventive measures upheld by various NGOs and government authorities. She also focused on how Youth can contribute and lead country legally by abiding the constitution of India and the philosophy of Swami Vivekananda who was considered a Youth Icon for Young generation of India as well as entire world. The lecture was followed by an interactive session in which Jyoti answered various queries of the participants. Dr. Bhagwati Verma, (Hindi), Dr. Surajmohini (Sociology), Sonia Jamwal (History), Dr. Anu ( Environment Science) were also present in the lecture and share their valuable views regarding the topic. More than hundred participants actively participated in the interactive session. The entire event was conducted under the patronage of Incharge Principal, Prof Raj Kiran Sharma. Webinar ended with vote of thanks by Prof Ritu Kumar Sharma NSS programme officer. Prof Neha Bandral, NSS Program officer conducted the proceedings of the webinar.
