GDC Sidhra organizes webinar on "Digital Footprints"

JAMMU, Jan 10: Cyber Jaagrookta (Awareness) Diwas Committee of GDC Sidhra under the banner of "Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav" and its theme "Digital India" organized a webinar on the topic "Digital Footprints" today. The programme was conducted under the patronship of Prof. (Dr.) Monika Sharma, Principal GDC Sidhra. The resource person for the event was Dr. Ashok Sharma, Asstt Prof in the Department of Computer Science and IT, Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu, Jammu. The webinar commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Shonima Malhotra, Asstt Prof of Sociology. Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Monika Sharma also addressed the meeting with her valuable words. The main aim of the event was to enlighten the students about various cyber related crimes and the precautionary safeguards to remain protected from such crimes. The resource person apprised the students about the fact that we need to be very cautious while using different browsers like Google Chrome and apps such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. He stressed on the fact that the most important parameter which we need to keep in mind is our online privacy and safety tips to remain invulnerable from getting trapped by hackers and fraudulent.
The webinar was organized by Prof. Shonima Malhotra (Nodal Officer, Cyber Jaagrookta (Awareness) Diwas Committee) with the active support and coordination of other members of the committee- Prof. Mussarat Chowdhary, Dr. Mahak Mengi and Pragati Jasrotia. The programme was concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Prof. Mussarat Chowdhary, Asstt Prof of Economics.
