JKAACL Kathua organizes musical programme

SAMBA, Jan 21: The Sub-Office Kathua of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) organized a musical programme at Community Hall, Samba here today in connection with the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'.
Pawan Kohli, Chairman Municipal Council Samba was the chief guest on the occasion who got awestruck after witnessing the world class musical programme. He appreciated the way of JKAACL for showcasing the scintillating programme by the artists. He further shared that, 'Culture is a binding factor that ties people together'. Our culture and tradition is the face of ourself and it's our moral responsibility to preserve it. Such kind of initiatives always takes the culture to the next level of preservation of arts.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjeev Gupta SOCA, JKAACL Sub-Office, Kathua dwelt in detail about the journey of Sub-Office Kathua since he took charge. He said that we are trying to do best of efforts for the preservation and promotion of the Art and Culture of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu is very rich in terms of performing arts and our motive is to take our culture to every house so that the younger generation gets known by its roots.
The programme was started with Padma Sachdev's 'Aus Dogreaan Akhneaan Shaane Kane, Asen Jittiyan Jangaan Ghamsaane Kanne' which mesmerized everyone in the audience with the powerful singing of Salathia Brothers followed by number of Dogri songs. The lead singer Raman Salathia was supported by Nirbhay Salathia, and C S Kattal. Those who accompanied the singers were also the masters of their respective instruments including Rakesh Mishi (Flute), Surjeet (Dholak), Ravi Dutta (Tabla), Jasbir (Octopad) and Dharampal (Synthesizer).
