| Summer Zone Apple Garden established at AIIMS Vijaypur | | | Early Times Report
VIJAYPUR, Jan 30: Director AIIMS Vijaypur, Dr Shakti Kumar Gupta has created a history by taking a lead in establishing Summer Zone Apple Garden at upcoming AIIMS at Vijaypur. This is for the first time in the history of medical institutions India that such a fruit garden has come up.
A special enclosure for summer zone apple has been defined and inauguration of plantation was started by Chief guest Dr Jatinder Singh along with the Director Dr. Shakti Kumar Gupta, Srinivas Reddy Director General IIIM Jammu and Dr K C Sharma Surgeon Specialist and innovator from Udhampur planting one plant each and 25 plants in whole enclosure.
This will not only produce fruits just after 13 months but will encourage the visiting patients and their attendance to plant one plant each in their house to get sufficient apple for the whole family and also reduce number of deaths occurring due to iron deficiency anaemia. All medical institution in Jammu division can do the same.
