NSS campus units, University of Jammu organizes online student exchange workshop

JAMMU, Jan 30: It was a one of its kind events on Saturday, 29th of January, 2022, when the NSS campus units, University of Jammu and NSS unit of Holy Cross College, Agartala jointly organized a student exchange workshop in online mode under the patronage of Prof. Manoj K Dhar, hon'ble Vice-Chancellor and Chairman NSS, University of Jammu and Dr. Fr. Benny John CSC, Principal Holy Cross College, Agartala. Dr. Savita Nayyar, NSS Program Officer Campus units, University of Jammu and Mrs. Sangita Chakraborty, NSS program officer, Holy Cross College, Agartala coordinated the workshop under the supervision and guidance of Prof. Neeru Sharma, Convenor NSS Campus Units University of Jammu, where the technical support was provided by Er. Abhigya Mahajan. The workshop was a big success and was widely appreciated by all for addressing such an interactive discussion where the speakers highlighted the rich cultural heritage and historical facts of Jammu & Kashmir and Tripura. Prof. Veena Gupta, former Head, department of Dogri, University of Jammu shared her views on the role and importance of Dogri language and Prof. Suman Jamwal, Head department of History, University of Jammu very well presented the historical facts and cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir. Dr. Sharmistha Chakroborty, Head department of Sociology, Elemi Debbarna, Assistant Professor, department of English, Debasish Datta, Assistant Professor, department of History from Holy Cross College, Agartala presented Historical, Linguistic and Cultural heritage of Tripura. The webinar ended with a vote of thanks to all the dignitaries, speaker and participants by Dr. Savita Nayyar.
