| Nowshera Forest Division seizes 85 billets of Khair | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 9: A patrolling team of Forest Staff of Sunderbani Range constituted by Neelima Shah IFS Divisional Forest Officer Nowshera seized 85 billets of Khair illegally extracted from Marchola and Bagla village last night. During the night patrolling on 8th February 2022, the teams conducted raids at Marchola and Bagla village areas. During the raids huge consignment of illegally felled 85 billets of Khair wood was seized from these two spots. Neelima Shah, Divisional Forest Officer Nowshera said that in view of regulation of illegal felling of Khair trees, special teams were constituted to carryout combing operation especially in the Khair tree areas. These teams are carrying out combing operations as well as raids to regulate any illegal forest activity in and around forest area. The team was headed by Rakesh Verma Range Officer Sunderbani in coordination of Ved Parkash BO Dharamsaal and Rangeel Singh BO Sunderbani. The whole operation was carried out under direct supervision of Vivek Verma, Conservator of Forests West Circle Rajouri and Neelima Shah, Division Forest Officer Nowshera.
