Early Times Report

KISHTWAR, Feb 9: The health department Kishtwar today was forced to postpone the walk-in interview indefinitely for the engagement of manpower under COVID 19 for the students of paramedical colleges pursuing B.Sc Nursing or GNM final year course.
As per the details available with Early Times, hundreds of job aspirants including girls assembled at CMO office Kishtwar for appearing in walk-in interview for three month job under COVID 19 through NHM; but confusion, chaos led to deferment of walk-in interviews of para-medical students after the officials at the helm of the affairs failed to understand the eligibility criteria besides one of the members of the committee also failed to report due to misinformation and administrative gap.
The aspirants said that some of the job aspirants had appeared in final year examination, while some had appeared in few papers so far and examination of same is still undergoing along with few students who had just joined the final year which are very less in number. They said that they fail to understand that how the health department could treat them as qualified despite the result of final year examination is still awaited.
The angry students said that they are subjected to unnecessary hardship like standing in long queues for going through COVID testing process while some raise suspicion suspecting foul play in selection process since the department had chosen interview instead of holding written test for the same or a merit.
They urged upon the government to advertise all the vacant posts in health department so that hundreds of unemployed paramedics could get the job. When contacted senior officials of the health department confirmed the postponement of walk in interview and said that higher-ups have been asked to clarified the eligibility of the aspirants.
