Ch Mohan addressing protesters said that strong protest today held in RS Pura over clubbing Suchetgarh and RS Pura constituencies as one constituency and also not de-reserving RS Pura constituency which remained reserved since 1996. He described the Commission Draft Report as bi-zarre, saying that people of both these constituencies will not allow any attempt to divide the people of these two constituencies. He expressed concern over the repeated attempts of disempowering the people of Jammu by coming up with atrocious measures one after the other.
Sarpanch Badrinath Sharma rejected the draft report, saying that norms have been violated while carrying out the exercise. He said that miffed at delimitation proposal, several BJP leaders have already tendered their resignation over the deletion of Suchetgarh constituency in the report of the De-limitation Commission. Describing the Delimitation report as biased, defective and anomalous, Sharma called for removal of all imbalances as well as deficiencies in the report.
Ex Rajya Sabha MP Tarlok Singh Bajawa blamed BJP for politically motivated and biased Delimitation Commission's draft report with an aim to create division in the society. He said that BJP has cheated the people of Jammu again by influencing the draft report of De-limitation Commission which has discriminated against the people of different districts.
