| Kidnapped girl recovered within 24 hours by Mendhar Police | | | Early Times Report
POONCH, Feb 12: Working out a case of kidnapping of a girl, Poonch police in Mendhar sub division have recovered the kidnapped girl within 24 hours of registration of case.
Police said that on 11 February, a written complaint was lodged by a girl's father stating that she has been kidnapped by Mohd Sajid son of Mohd Lateif resident of village Danote Balakote after which a case FIR No 28 /2022 U/S 366/109 IPC was registered at PS Mendhar.
SDPO Mendhar, Sheezan Bhat constituted a police team headed by SHO Mendhar Manzoor Kohli and I/C PP Balakote SI Shafiq Ahmed which started the investigation
The investigation team with hard efforts recovered the girl and the accused namely Mohd Sajid son of Mohd Lateef resident of Danote Balakote has also been arrested with further investigation is going.
SSP Poonch, Rohit Baskotra said that Police in the district is working hard to solve the cases of crime for which necessary directions have been issued down the line.
He also appealed the people in the district to report any kind of crime in their respective police station or police post at the earliest so that necessary legal action could be taken timely. |
