Nepotism: Newly promoted AE posted in Reasi manages posting in Jammu within a month

Early Times Report

Poonch, Feb 12: Nepotism and favouritism have been ruling the roost in Chief Engineer PW (R&B) Office Jammu, which can be gauged from the fact that a newly promoted Junior Engineer (AE) as Assistant Engineer (JE) managed his posting back in Jammu from Reasi within month.
As per document available with Early Times, the office of Chief Engineer Public Works (Road and Building) Department issued an order of adjustment of Assistant Engineers, who got promoted from Junior Engineer as per order no. CEJ/ADM/02-2022 dated 4-1-2022.
But shockingly an Assistant Engineer Tariq Hussain who was posted at R&B Division Reasi as Civil Engineer after his promotion from Junior Engineer managed his return again in Jammu within 34 days of the order.
“Before his promotion, Tariq Hussain was posted at Police Housing Corporation as Junior Engineer and after his promotion, he was posted in R&B Division Reasi but by using his influence and close proximity with CE PWD he managed his posting again in Jammu in Electrical Division Jammu,” sources informed.
Chief Engineer issued an order no CEJ/ADM/37 of 2022 dated 7/2/2022 wherein transfer and posting of only one AE (Tariq Hussain) posted in R&B Division Reasi was affected. The reads that in view of exigency expressed by the Executive Engineer PWD R&B Electric Division Jammu vide letter No. EDJ/11937-41 dated 7-02-2022 Tariq Hussain I/C Assistant Engineer of PWD R&B Division Reasi is hereby posted to PWD R&B Electrical Division Jammu with immediate effect.
Sources alleged that if such urgency had arisen in Electrical Division Jammu then why Chief Engineer PWD not appointed an Electrical AE, which has raised serious finger on the order of CE Jammu because it is not possible for a Civil Engineer to look after the specifications and quality of electrical works, which clearly shows that this order was issued only to favor a particular person.
Despite repeated calls and text messages to the Chief Engineer PWD R&B Jammu in this connection, he didn’t reply.
