Rich tributes paid to Pulwama CRPF martyrs on third anniversary
2/13/2022 11:23:53 PM
Early Times Report

Srinagar, Feb 13: The Jammu and Kashmir Students Welfare Forum and the Rashtriya Rifles on Sunday paid tributes to the martyred Central Reserve Police Force jawans, who lost their lives in Pulwama terror attack, on third anniversary of ‘Pulwama Martyrs Day’ at University North Campus, here.
The event was organised by JKSWF, in collaboration with the Indian Army. On this day in 2019, the entire nation had sunk in grief, when about 40 valiant Indian soldiers were martyred in an attack by a cowardly suicide bomber, sponsored by Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammad, at Pulwama in south Kashmir. Today, the nation is observing third anniversary of the terror attack and remembering the supreme sacrifice of the 40 brave men of CRPF, who attained martyrdom in Pulwama.
Among others, Brigadier Alok Dash, Commander Hyderbeg Sector Rashtriya Rifles, Mumtaz Peerzada, Assistant commissioner of Revenue, Touseef Raina, Amir Sheikh, Hamid Bhat and Kamran and his team of young stalwarts were present. The audience of over 150 youth including 21 NCC cadets also attended the event. The event started with lighting the lamp in remembrance of the martyrs, followed by two minutes of silence.
Various volunteer youth performed and displayed their talent on stage, including a patriotic song by Iqbal Hussain Mir, depicting the valour of brave soldiers and an eye-opener speech by Ishfaq Hussain Mir.
The event came to a close with the National Anthem sung by all.
The event has gone a long way in strengthening the bond of mutual understanding, respect and brotherhood between the ‘Awam’ & the ‘Jawan’.
