Miraculous escape: 6 Missing person traced, rescued from Naribal Warwan by joint efforts of locals, police

JAMMU, Feb 25: Their is a famous proverb "Jisae Rakhae Sanya-Ussey Maar Sakhae Na Koie (If God wills, no one can kill you) which fits in six missing Warwan youths who disappeared three days ago while traveling to their homes via snow clad Margan top connecting Warwan valley of Kishtwar District through Anantnag District of South Kashmir and today returned home safely beating all odds to surging amid -20 degree temperature.
As per the details available with Early Times, on 22-02-2022 one Wali Mohd S/o Mohd Sultan R/o Warwan A/P Ananthnag informed Kishtwar Police telephonically that 06 persons in his relationship who were going towards Warwan from Ananthnag via Margantop have got trapped at Margantop due to heavy snowfall.
On this SSP Kishtwar Shaftqat Hussain Batt directed SHO PS Warwan to launching search/rescue operation for their safe evacuation.
Subsequently, today on 25-02-2022 after putting in hectic efforts, Kishtwar Police established contact with the trapped persons over mobile phone.
SSP Kishtwar personally spoke to the Missing/trapped persons and assured them of all the necessary assistance for their safe evacuation.
The missing persons who were identified as Ajaz Ahmed (30 yrs) S/o Abdul Rehman Koka, Akbar Koka (25 yrs) S/o Ghulam Qadir Koka, Ghulam Nabi (20 years) S/o Ghulam Qadir Koka, Gulzar Ahmed (18 years) S/o Ghulam Mohammad, Manzoor Ahmed (20 years) S/o Ghulam Mohd and Irshad Ahmed (19"8 years) S/o Sanaullah Dar, all residents of Chuidraman Warwan.
"All the Above mentioned persons are safe and their safe evacuation is being facilitated by Police party of PS Warwan" said SSP Kishtwar added that after three days and three nights in the snow, finally they reunite with their families. Kishtwar Police request the general Public of Kishtwar especially Warwan and marwah to avoid such roads during the winter season.
Meanwhile as soon as the weather improves, the local people from adjoining villages immediately rush towards the Margan top and was joined by the police and after several hours of tracking, the missing persons were located and was later escorted by the police and locals in Inshan village where the people serve them hot tea and food before they further proceed for their native village.
"As soon as weather turn hostile- we take shelter in a shed at Margan top and Naribalan" said one of the victim added that it is because of the shanty at Naribalan established by one local they manage to survive and to overcome the harsh reality of their life.
