Aspirants resent withdrawal of posts advertised by JKPSC, JKSSB
3/3/2022 12:59:53 AM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Mar 2: Expressing their resentment over Jammu and Kashmir government’s decision to withdraw all the posts advertised by recruiting agencies including JKSSB and JKPSC before October 2019, several aspirants of various posts staged a protest here today. Speaking to media persons the protesting aspirants said that hundreds of candidates had completed different levels of selection process including appearing for written tests and interviews but when only selection lists had to be released the government made the decision to withdraw all the posts advertised prior October 2019.
The unfortunate move of withdrawing the already advertised posts has further dashed the hopes of hundreds of job aspirants. "The aspirants who had applied for these posts are dumbfounded. Their hopes have been dashed. More so, years of preparation have also gone down the drain.
Most of these aspirants have crossed their age limit. Who is now going to pay for the loss of their time, efforts and money?
Such reckless and irrational decisions raise a question mark on the seriousness of the administration to create job opportunities for our youth," an aspirant said.
“For how long we will have to stand on roads and run helter-skelter while getting cane charged for raising our voice,” he added.
He said that it is ironic that the Government instead of creating new job avenues and filling all the posts lying vacant in several Government departments of Jammu and Kashmir has begun the campaign of withdrawing the advertisements for various posts.
The protesting aspirants urged the government to reconsider the decision of cancelling all the posts advertised by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) and Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) prior to October 31, 2019.
