| Qualified youth demand revocation of 2018 SAC order | | Seeks jobs in SED, stage protest against promotion through DPC | |

JAMMU, Mar 3: Scores of educated youth under the banner of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) today wore black bands on their arms and carried out a protest demonstration while blaming the Jammu & Kashmir administration of ‘destroying’ their future.
The protesting youth having PhD, M Phil, M Ed, B Ed and other higher degrees took pot shots at the State Administrative Council (SAC) decision of 2018 taken with respect to appointment of 10+2 lecturers in the school education department. The SAC had decided that all such posts of 10+2 lecturers would be filled through the process of departmental promotion committee (DPC).
The protesting youth said that the order of SAC should be revoked and that 80 percent lecturers should be appointed amongst the higher qualified and educated youth adding that remaining 20 percent should be from the department through the DPC. They said that one week ultimatum is being given to the administration and in case the demand is not met then there would be a huge protest demonstration. |
