Rotary Club celebrates women’s Day

Jammu, Mar 8: To honor womanhood and the achievements of women and with the aim to highlight the importance of gender neutral society, Rotary club Jammu tawi celebrated Womens Day function at Amar Singh Club Jammu.Seven women of substance who have excelled in various fields were honoured by Chief Guest Dr. SD Singh Jamwal IPS ADG Security, Jammu and Kashmir Police. The awardees included :-Sukhleen kour chief planning officer Samba,Swati Sharma dysp hrs Jammu,Farha Nishat dysp traffic Jammu,Geetu Bangotra Principal Higher secondary school,Deepika Mahajan Advocate,Amar Chohan M D Infobug and Sumi Sahi ,amulti- dimensional personality
President Raman Wazir welcomed the chief guest & awardees. Secretary of the club Ramnik Singh gave detail information of Rotary activities of Jammu Tawi club.
Governor elect Dr Dushyant choudhary gave details of philanthropic activities of Rotary throughout the world. He added that next rotary chief of the world is a lady. He said that rotary is organizing & honoring eminent women every year. He thanked the chief guest for sparing his valuable time.
Dr SD Singh Jamwal appreciated the efforts of rotary in honouring distinguished ladies.He said that women are endowed with special traits which make them special. He said that women are in the forefront in every field. He exhorted every one to provide enabling environment for women to realise their potential.
