| Voilating all norms, ZEO in Akhnoor Sub Division attached various blue eyed teachers | | | Rajesh Tandon

Jammu, Mar 8: Although government has constituted and framed some transfer policies for different grade employees, but these norms are closed in books as the ground level reality of the administrative units is adverse of these policies.
According to the sources a Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) posted in Akhnoor Sub Division area, voilating all norms of department is continuously attaching some blue eyed teachers as per their choice. Many locals from rural areas have informed Early Times that their children are deprived and no teachers is ready to perform their duties in these far-flung areas, teachers hand in gloves with concerned ZEO have choose their personal places and ZEO has attached them at their choice.
Why ZEO kept the children of remote areas in darkness?, locals of these areas asked. Many locals in this regard has said ZEO has some personal interest with these teachers so that he has attached them at nearest of their houses. When out correspondent asked to saod ZEO about the matter, he admitted that the attachments are illegal, and further said, there can be some compulsions due to which these teachers are attached.
In another matter Director School Education Department Jammu has transferred another ZEO from his post and posted him back at same place after three months. People allegedly said that all is not well in School Education Department Jammu, corruption is at it's peak. They have appealed to Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to take cognizance of the matter. Divisional Commissioner Jammu in this regard has assured for sting action. |
