Valedictory function of 10 days off campus Dairy Farming, Vermi Compost Making concluded by RSETI Leh

Leh, Mar 13: A 10 days training programme on dairy farming & vermi compost making conducted by State Bank of India Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI RSETI) in village Shara Leh concluded today on Sunday 13.03.2022. A total of 34 unemployed youth were trained in it from village Shara, village Sharnos and village Phuktsey of Kharu block.
On the occasion the certificates of participations were disturbed by Councillor of Egoo constitutency Mr. Sonam Thardot who was the Chief Guest of the occasion in presence of Sarpanch of village Sharnos and Director RSETI Leh. Mr Sonam Thardot thanked RSETI staff for conduction of training programme at village Shara which is situated at a distance of 60 km from Leh center. He advised trainees to create a self help group of village to avail full benefit of Government schemes.
The participants were trained theoretically and practically in dairy farming and vermi compost by officials of animal husbandry, horticulture department, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Leh and Defence institute of Higher Altitude Reserch Leh. The trainees were also taken for field visit at KVK Leh, Dihar Leh, village Phey and Stazur dairy farm Thiksay Leh.
The programme was also assessed online by Officials of National Academy of RUDSETI which included viva by NAR officials through video conferencing and then online exam.
On the occasion Mr. Anil Singh, Director SBI RSETI Leh congratulated all the participants on successful completion of 10 days training. He advised trainees to avail KCC under animal husbandry scheme.
He maintained that the purpose of this training is to be a successful entrepreneur and to generate the employment not only for one self, but for others also.
He also told them that the institute will make timely and regular follow up with each participant through personal visits, tele calls and through letter / e-mail also.
He maintained that the institute will conduct more of such training in future depending upon the local requirement.
The programme ended with word of thanks by Mr Sonam Chozang, Faculty SBI RSETI Leh.
