Enthusiastic women have overwhelmingly voted for BJP: Rekha Mahajan
3/13/2022 11:16:15 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, Mar 13: Rekha Mahajan, J&K BJP Secretary has said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has termed women as partner in the BJP’s victory and said that they have played a crucial role in these elections across states. The PM has shared that compared to 2017 women voted 16 percent more, while men voted only four percent more.
Rekha said that it is a clear indicator that the women have participated in recently concluded assembly elections in large numbers and voted in favour of BJP candidates overwhelmingly.
There is no doubt that the women had made up their mind to politically strengthen BJP as it had done lot for their socio economic up-liftment, security and dignified life.
“Enthusiasm among the women voters was obvious because they were fully convinced that for the first time a party was in government which treated women equal in all matters and at all levels. Launching numerous welfare schemes exclusively for women benefitted them a lot, which they have themselves seen in reality,” said Rekha.
Rekha said that it would not be wrong to mention that in today's era, with BJP running government at the centre under Modi, women are getting the maximum benefits of government schemes.
Ujjwala cylinder scheme, Jan Dhan Yojna, Beti bachao beti padhao abhiyan, Sukanya Samridhi Yojna, construction of toilets for women named Izzat Ghar, alloting houses in the names of women built under PM Awas Yojna, hike in widow and aged pensions, providing tap water to crores of households, abolishing practice of Triple Talaq, raising marriage age, are such schemes which have directly connected women with the government, she said.
