Jammu, Mar 14: The government of Jammu and Kashmir continued its anti people approach and in one such latest attempt, the Executive Engineer Jammu Power Development Corporation Limited (JPDCL) vide order No. No:-JPDCL/DK/21-22/1658-65 Dated 12-3-2022 had issued direction to all the Assistant Executive Engineers of electric Sub Division JPDCL viz Kishtwar, Chatroo, Thathri & Bhalessa falling under the control of Executive Engineer, Kishtwar Division to terminate the power connections of all the major defaulters who fail to clear the power bills pending against their names.
As per the details available with Early Times, in response to the meeting held on 11-03-2022 under the chairmanship of Worthy Managing Director JPDCL Jammu vide notice No.MD/JPDCL/TS/5748-67 dated 09-03-2022 regarding poor revenue realisation that up set the MD JPDCL and the officials had to face senior wrath due to poor performance of the Kishtwar division on account of collection of revenue from the consumers. “kindly refer to the meeting held under the Chairmanship of Worthy Managing Director JPDCL Jammu.
During the meeting this office had to face tough situation on account of poor performance. It is impressed upon all the field staff to disconnect all the installations having balance above five thousand by 20th of March 2022” read the official communication issued vide No:-JPDCL/DK/21-22/1658-65 Dated 12-3-2022 by XEn JPDCL Kishtwar.
The communication further stated that “The Sub Stations where consumers more than 50% are defaulters, the said stations need to be disconnected from 11KV mains. The revenue realization requires to be geared up on war footing basis or be prepared for action from the higher authorities. Moreover, no NOC should be issued without clearance of pending electric charges.
Matter requires immediate attention on priority basis” it concluded.
