4/17/2022 12:14:58 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 16: Daily wagers have decided to gherao Raj Bhawan here on April 18 (Monday).
Talking to the reporters here, representatives of daily wagers said, “Our main demand is that all the daily wagers should be regularized and the government should stop giving lollipops to us.”
They said, “The government has decided to give another lollipop to raise our wages to Rs 377/ per day, but we are demanding implementation of the Minimum Wages Act. And Rs 377/ per day is too less.”
The representatives urged the daily wagers to assemble outside Raj Bhawan to drive home our point. “Our next step will be to go on a strike. As soon as the month of Ramadan will end we will go on an indefinite strike,” they threatened.
They said, “If the government wants that there is no disruption in services then it should fulfill the promise it had made to us in November 2021.”
Representatives said, “Our battle is for regularization and for the implementation of the Minimum Wages Act.”
