| Rajouri Municipal Council fails to pay fine, dispose off garbage | | |

Rajouri, Apr 24: Municipal Council has failed to dispose of the garbage in Rajouri town. Susheel Bajrangi who had sit on a dharna against the failure of the Municipal Council Rajouri to clear the garbage while talking to a local news channel said, “I had sit on a dharna and after that the committee was asked to submit a fine of Rs 61 lakh but till date the committee hasn’t paid the fine.”
He said, “The Municipal Council had said that it would install a plant to dispose of the garbage but more than three months have passed since then, but nothing has happened till now.”
Bajrangi said, “The government should allot some space to the Municipal Council to dump the garbage but the administration hasn’t done it.”
He said, “The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri should act and do something to get this garbage disposed of. We had given three month ultimatum to the government to clear this garbage dump. Three months have elapsed but nothing has been done. We will take our next step soon.” |
